Honorary doctorate to former CM Yeddyurappa
Former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has been conferred with the highest honorary doctorate by Keladi Shivappanayaka Agriculture and Horticulture University, Shimoga.
The 9th year convocation ceremony of Agriculture and Horticulture University will be held on Friday. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot will confer an honorary doctorate degree on farmer leader and former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, who presented a separate budget for agriculture for the first time.
The Keladi Shivappa Nayaka University of Agriculture and Horticulture is now conferring the second major doctorate. Krishna Yalla of Hyderabad, who discovered the Covid vaccine two years ago, was honored with an honorary doctorate. This time, Yeddyurappa is being honored with an honorary doctorate for his struggle on behalf of farmers and presentation of the agriculture budget.
In this regard, former DCM Dr. C. N. Ashwattha Narayan congratulated Yeddyurappa through a tweet and said, "Hearty congratulations to former Chief Minister Yeddyurappa who has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Keladi Shivappanayaka University of Agriculture and Horticulture.
